Not all the news is bad.  There are some areas where hiring is occurring, and two bright spots are Washington, D.C. http://bit.ly/mIJWId  and Columbus, OH  http://bit.ly/lPSXqa according to Manpower.

Bloomberg is reporting that” profits at American companies are poised to be one of the few bright spots in the U.S., helping to steady the faltering recovery.”  More:  http://buswk.co/lauQCQ

Newsweek brings these two comments together nicely:  “It’s a cliche — but true — that a huge obstacle to a stronger economic recovery is the lack of confidence in a strong recovery.
