Is social media taxing your brain?

The social media world is growing astronomically and at a rate that can make your head spin - if you allow it.  I find myself asking how I am going to keep abreast of all the latest neat stuff.  Can you relate?

It appears that we're not alone.  Nova Spivack writes the article Sharepocalypse Now: Why Social Media Overload Means New Opportunities for Startups.

Perhaps some genius will come along and help us aggregate all this information in a useable format - a Social Media for Dummies hub.  Wouldn't that be nice?  Until then, some of us will continue to hop from Twitter, to LinkedIn, to Facebook, to Google+ just trying to keep up with change. 

What does this have to do with careers?  No doubt it will affect the way companies recruit, what jobs they offer, and the skills they will seek.  Stay tuned...
